Life Cycle Events
From bestowing a child’s Hebrew name to the final prayers of mourning, our congregation walks beside members at every milestone. Our clergy and staff are honored to guide families though celebrations of joy, moments of covenant and seasons of loss, always rooted in Jewish tradition, compassion and community.
If you would like to share your life cycle event with a wider circle, you may wish to utilize our building’s public spaces and services, Contact Edward Simon to learn more about our room rentals.

Baby Naming
Welcoming a new child is a moment of pure blessing. During a Shabbat service, our clergy will facilitate as families formally bestow a Hebrew name on their baby, offer personalized blessings and invite the congregation to share in prayers of gratitude. Contact the Temple office to schedule a date and discuss ways to include loved ones in person or online.
Educational Milestones
Temple’s Religious School guides students through meaningful Jewish milestones that mark their growth in learning and identity. From Consecration in first grade, where children receive their first prayerbook, to the B’nei Mitzvah journey, and culminating in Confirmation during high school, each step affirms their connection to Jewish life, community and values.

Marriage
Jewish marriage is a sacred covenant, and we are delighted to celebrate with couples who are members of our Temple family. To begin the process, reach out at least nine months before the desired wedding date to confirm clergy availability and schedule planning sessions.
Death
In times of loss, our clergy and members of our Caring Congregation are here with guidance, comfort and prayer. We can assist families in preparing a funeral or memorial service in our sanctuary or at graveside, coordinate shiva minyan leaders, and publish a bereavement notice to the congregation. Please notify the Temple office as soon as possible so we may support you with ritual guidance, pastoral care and practical arrangements.
Yahrzeit - A Sacred Tradition of Remembrance
In Jewish tradition, when the year of mourning after death is over, mourners are expected to return to a fully normal life. There are several occasions each year when our loved ones who have died are memorialized. The most significant of these is Yahrzeit, the anniversary of the death.
You are invited and encouraged to let us know the name and Yahrzeit dates of your beloved ones who have departed. We will honor their memory by announcing their name during services. Loved ones may be remembered by the Hebrew date or the English date. We pray you will be comforted among all the mourners of Israel.
