Smooth Sailing: A Look Back at the SS L’Chaim

Our Third Annual Fundraiser was an unforgettable night aboard the SS L’Chaim, where we transformed our space into a vibrant cruise-themed experience. The evening was a joyful celebration of our community, bringing us together for a night of incredible entertainment and support for The Temple.

The itinerary included a variety of unique experiences. Guests spent the evening exploring the ship, testing their luck at the Chai Stakes Casino, bidding on treasures in our silent auction, and enjoying the high-energy fun of dueling pianos. For those seeking relaxation, our cigar and bourbon lounge provided a perfect spot for connection.

It was an evening that perfectly captured the spirit of Congregation Ahavath Chesed, from the moment we stepped on deck until the final celebration of the evening. At the heart of the night was the opportunity to honor Immediate Past President Miriam Greenhut for her incredible leadership. The funds raised during this event have been vital in supporting the programs that keep our Temple a vibrant and inclusive home for all.

Reflecting on the success of L’Chaim on the Chai Seas reminds us of the strength of our community. As we prepare for our Fourth Annual Fundraiser, L’Chaim on the Red Carpet, we carry that same vibrant energy forward. Early access for Temple members is open until February 27, and we look forward to another evening of celebration and support for our beloved Temple.
