Casting Off & Cleaning Up: A Sacred Start to the New Year

The Temple performed the ritual of Tashlich, in which we reflected on the past year and cast off our transgressions into the water, in order to bring only joy and kindness into the new Jewish year ahead, 5786. Afterward, we lived out our value of taking care of the Earth by participating in Reverse Tashlich, a worldwide movement of cleaning up waterfront areas during the Days of Awe.
