Why Become a Member?

We hope that you will want to be part of the Temple community for many reasons. You desire the chance to fully participate in all that Temple offers—worship, learning, and social action, to name a few. You want to be fully embraced by your Temple community as you mark lifecycle milestones, rejoice in celebration, and yes, comfort you in times of trouble and sorrow. And you want to share in the pride that comes with supporting this vital institution for the continuity of Jewish life, culture, and values. We want that for you as well.

Our members support Temple financially through Annual Giving Commitments, and our giving structure reflects our inclusive, multi-generational congregation.  Your generosity enables us to be a thriving and open community for all, regardless of financial circumstances. 

What are the Benefits of Membership? 

• All worship, including Days of Awe
• Access to life-cycle and pastoral services
• Member rates for Temple programs
• Eligibility for Temple Religious School
• Ensuring the continuity of Jewish life, culture and values

What Are Annual Member Giving Commitments?

• $2,400 per household
• $2,150 for single persons, aged 65+
• $3,150 religious school package (includes tuition for 1 child and discount for additional children)
  For Individuals or Families under 35, we appreciate donations to the best of your ability
• $750 for Associate Membership*

*Associate Members must be full members at another synagogue or live at least 100 miles away; some restrictions apply.

What Are Patron Annual Member Giving Commitments?

Members who give at the Patron level help ensure the financial security of our Temple. This philanthropic giving helps sustain operational costs not covered by our standard commitments, ensuring that we can continue to be an inclusive, welcoming community. Please consider fulfilling a wonderful mitzvah by joining our Patrons at one of the giving levels below.

• Ahavath Chesed $25,000
• Ahavath Tzedakah $18,000
• Ahavath Shalom $10,000
• Ahavath Torah $5,400
• Ahavath Yisrael $3,600

Patrons receive a wide range of benefits that include special donor events, Religious School tuition, tickets to Shabbat dinners, extra guest tickets to Days of Awe services and donor recognition and appreciation.
