The Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience can be an enriching and powerful one, not only for the child, but for the entire family. It is a time full of opportunities for connections….with family and friends, with the Temple clergy and staff, with teachers and mentors, with the Temple family, with the Jacksonville community. As our Jewish tradition teaches, becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah is an opportunity to connect with ourselves and with God.
There are many moving parts to this Bar/Bat Mitzvah journey which requires planning ahead and coordination. We do recognize this is an exciting and hectic time in your lives. Between preparation with the tutors, meetings with the clergy, planning the event, and even dealing with family relationships, it is easy to become a bit overwhelmed. We are here to help! Please do not hesitate to reach out to Rabbi Bahar (rabbibahar@TheTempleJacksonville.org) or Michelle Penson (mpenson@TheTempleJacksonvlle.org) or Mary Ellen Hathaway at mehathaway@TheTemplejacksonville.org) You are also welcome to reach all three people by calling the Temple office (904-733-7078).
We are here with you and for you.
