Jewish tradition teaches that deeds of loving-kindness are superior to charity, as charity can only be accomplished with money. Deeds of loving-kindness can be accomplished through personal involvement. This teaching is a building-block of Temple life. We’ve incorporated it into our very name, Congregation Ahavath Chesed. Each year our congregants, families and friends perform “acts of kindness” both inside and outside the Temple’s walls as we celebrate “Mitzvah Days.” Stay tuned for more information about this year’s events!
This program is a family program. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children. No children?…adults are welcome too!
