Shalom and welcome! Congregation Ahavath Chesed, The Temple, has been the center of Reform Judaism in Northeast Florida for over one hundred thirty years. Chartered in 1882, Temple set roots in its current location in 1979.
Our congregation values active participation in Jewish life. As our name suggests, Ahavath Chesed literally “lovers of mercy”, our Temple family works together to help make the world a better place. Whether through acts of compassion or acts of loving kindness, Temple is a firm believer in Tikun Olam, the repairing of the world.
As Reform Jews, we are committed to inclusion. Everyone is welcome to participate regardless of age, ethnicity, marital status, sexual orientation or financial means. We extend a special invitation to interfaith families who seek to share in the values and practice of Judaism.
We truly want you to feel welcome in the midst of our religious, education and social community.
We look forward to meeting you and your family soon.
